We are hiring a Civil Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Chula Vista. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chula Vista location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to manage several projects at once
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chula Vista, CA is $102,000 – $130,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
