Our Chicago office is growing, and we need a Chemical Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative chemical engineering group and report to the chemical engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Chicago office.
What you’ll do
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Take part in process hazard analyses
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with process simulation software
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
Nice to have
- Pilot plant experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $26 – $31 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
