Chemical Engineer Intern

We are hiring a Chemical Engineer Intern to join our chemical engineering team in Baton Rouge. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Baton Rouge office.
What you’ll do
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Support capital projects through commissioning
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
- Take part in process hazard analyses
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
- Experience with process simulation software
Nice to have
- Pilot plant experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Baton Rouge, LA is $24 – $28 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
