Biomedical Engineer

The employer is a diagnostics company building lab instruments and point-of-care test systems.

We are hiring a Biomedical Engineer to join our biomedical engineering team in Fort Worth. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Fort Worth office.

What you’ll do

• Write verification and validation protocols and reports
• Design and develop medical devices under design controls
• Maintain risk management files
• Work with clinicians to gather user needs
• Support regulatory submissions

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in a regulated medical device environment
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA design controls
• Experience writing test protocols

Nice to have

• Experience with Class II or Class III devices
• Experience with 510(k) submissions

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Fort Worth, TX is $54 – $66 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
