We are hiring a Backend Engineer to join our software engineering team in New York. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Improve test coverage and release safety for critical services
- Model data and tune queries for PostgreSQL and other data stores
- Write design documents and weigh trade-offs with the wider engineering group
- Own services end to end, including deployment, monitoring and on-call
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience operating services in a cloud environment
- Strong understanding of relational data modeling
- Clear written communication for design reviews
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Background in high-throughput or low-latency systems
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $145,000 – $185,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
