The employer is looking for an Associate Structural Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
- Strong hand-calculation skills
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $85,000 – $108,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
