The employer is looking for an Associate Structural Engineer in Austin, TX. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Austin location.
What you’ll do
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
- Seismic design experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Austin, TX is $72,000 – $92,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
