Our Newark office is growing, and we need an Associate Software Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Newark office.
What you’ll do
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Newark, NJ is $95,000 – $121,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
