Associate Software Engineer

The employer is a SaaS company building scheduling and dispatch software for field service businesses.

We are hiring an Associate Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Los Angeles. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $107,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
