Associate Software Engineer

The employer is a health technology company building software and devices for outpatient care.

As an Associate Software Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Kent, WA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Kent office.

What you’ll do

• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Kent, WA is $107,000 – $136,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
