The employer is looking for an Associate Security Engineer in Fremont, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Fremont office.
What you’ll do
- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
- Harden cloud identity and access management
- Run threat models and security reviews for new features and infrastructure
- Manage vulnerability scanning and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Build detections and respond to security incidents
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- Experience in application, cloud or infrastructure security
- Working knowledge of common attack techniques and defenses
- Experience with a SIEM or log analysis platform
Nice to have
- Experience with container security
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or GIAC
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Fremont, CA is $117,000 – $149,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
