The employer is looking for an Associate Robotics Engineer in Las Cruces, NM. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Las Cruces location.
What you’ll do
- Develop software for robot perception, planning and control
- Tune and validate robot performance in the lab and the field
- Work across mechanical, electrical and software teams
- Write simulation and test tools
- Integrate sensors, actuators and compute hardware
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Hands-on robotics experience
- Strong C++ or Python skills
- Understanding of kinematics and control
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in robotics
- Experience with SLAM or computer vision
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Las Cruces, NM is $53 – $65 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
