The employer is looking for an Associate Process Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced chemical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
- Data analysis skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
- Six Sigma certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $84,000 – $107,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
