We are hiring an Associate Power Systems Engineer to join our electrical & computer engineering team in Los Angeles. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
- Experience with ETAP, PSS/E or SKM
- Strong analytical skills
Nice to have
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $88,000 – $112,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
