Our New York office is growing, and we need an Associate Mechanical Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative mechanical engineering group and report to the mechanical engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $89,000 – $113,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
