As an Associate Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $85,000 – $108,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
