The employer is looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Huntington Beach office.
What you’ll do
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Huntington Beach, CA is $84,000 – $106,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
