As an Associate Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Dayton, OH. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Dayton location.
What you’ll do
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dayton, OH is $64,000 – $81,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
