We are hiring an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in Chicago. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $69,000 – $88,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
