As an Associate Materials Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the materials engineering team works. This position is based in Columbus, OH. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Columbus office.
What you’ll do
- Perform failure analysis on returned and field components
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
- Run mechanical, thermal and microstructural testing
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Select and qualify materials for new product designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- Laboratory experience
- Strong report writing
- Experience with materials characterization methods
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in materials science
- Experience with additive manufacturing
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Columbus, OH is $64,000 – $82,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
