Associate Manufacturing Engineer

The employer is a manufacturer of industrial pumps, valves and flow-control equipment.
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in San Diego, CA. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our San Diego location.
What you’ll do
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $48 – $59 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
