The employer is a contract manufacturer producing precision metal components and assemblies.
Our Concord office is growing, and we need an Associate Manufacturing Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative industrial & manufacturing engineering group and report to the industrial & manufacturing engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Concord location.
What you’ll do
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Strong problem-solving ability
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Experience with automation and robotics
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Concord, NC is $62,000 – $78,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
