The employer is looking for an Associate HVAC Design Engineer in Chula Vista, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chula Vista location.
What you’ll do
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Select equipment and write specifications
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Experience producing construction documents
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- Strong coordination skills
Nice to have
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
- LEED AP credential
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chula Vista, CA is $79,000 – $101,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
