The employer is looking for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer in Port St. Lucie, FL. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Port St. Lucie location.
What you’ll do
- Plan and oversee subsurface explorations and laboratory testing
- Write geotechnical reports with design recommendations
- Coordinate drilling subcontractors and field staff
- Analyze foundations, retaining walls and slope stability
- Observe earthwork and foundation construction in the field
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Strong soil mechanics fundamentals
- Experience writing geotechnical reports
- Willingness to work in the field
Nice to have
- PE license
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Port St. Lucie, FL is $60,000 – $76,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
