The employer is looking for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer in Naperville, IL. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Naperville location.
What you’ll do
- Observe earthwork and foundation construction in the field
- Coordinate drilling subcontractors and field staff
- Analyze foundations, retaining walls and slope stability
- Write geotechnical reports with design recommendations
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Strong soil mechanics fundamentals
- Experience writing geotechnical reports
- Valid driver’s license
Nice to have
- PE license
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Naperville, IL is $43 – $52 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
