We are hiring an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Chicago. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Write geotechnical reports with design recommendations
- Coordinate drilling subcontractors and field staff
- Observe earthwork and foundation construction in the field
- Plan and oversee subsurface explorations and laboratory testing
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Willingness to work in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong soil mechanics fundamentals
Nice to have
- PE license
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $68,000 – $87,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
