The employer is looking for an Associate Field Service Engineer in Chicago, IL. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues
- Document service visits and feed issues back to engineering
- Install, commission and service equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
Nice to have
- Experience servicing medical or semiconductor equipment
- Experience with industrial automation equipment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $58,000 – $74,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
