Associate Environmental Engineer

$44 to $54 an hour

Our Virginia Beach office is growing, and we need an Associate Environmental Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative environmental engineering group and report to the environmental engineering manager. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Virginia Beach office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare air, water and waste permit applications
- Write compliance reports for state and federal agencies
- Plan and run site investigations and remediation projects
- Advise clients on environmental regulations
- Collect and interpret soil, groundwater and air samples
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (or able to obtain)
- Field sampling experience
- Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
Nice to have
- Experience with PFAS investigation or treatment
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Virginia Beach, VA is $44 – $54 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
