Associate DevOps Engineer

The employer is looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
- Operate Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling and cost control
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
Nice to have
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
- Experience with service meshes
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $66 – $80 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
