The employer is looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer in Chicago, IL. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
- Operate Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling and cost control
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
Nice to have
- Experience with service meshes
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $90,000 – $115,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
