The employer is looking for an Associate Data Engineer in Santa Ana, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced data engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Santa Ana office.
What you’ll do
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Strong SQL and Python skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark or Flink
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Santa Ana, CA is $106,000 – $135,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
