The employer is looking for an Associate Data Engineer in Las Cruces, NM. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced data engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Las Cruces location.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark or Flink
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Las Cruces, NM is $84,000 – $107,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
