The employer is looking for an Associate Controls Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Commissioning experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
Nice to have
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $85,000 – $108,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
