We are hiring an Associate Chemical Engineer to join our chemical engineering team in Newport News. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Newport News office.
What you’ll do
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Support capital projects through commissioning
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Take part in process hazard analyses
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of process safety
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
Nice to have
- PE license
- Pilot plant experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Newport News, VA is $74,000 – $94,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
