Aerospace Engineer Intern

As an Aerospace Engineer Intern with the employer, you will gain hands-on experience and help shape how the aerospace engineering team works. This position is based in Louisville, KY. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Louisville location.
What you’ll do
- Analyze aircraft and spacecraft structures and systems
- Write test plans and support qualification testing
- Run stress, thermal and dynamics analyses
- Work across design, manufacturing and supplier teams
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Solid understanding of aerospace structures or systems
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Experience with FEA tools such as NASTRAN or ANSYS
Nice to have
- Composite structures experience
- Experience with FAA certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Louisville, KY is $28 – $33 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
