The employer is looking for an Associate Software Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
Nice to have
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $107,000 – $136,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
