Our Los Angeles office is growing, and we need a Staff Network Engineer who can set technical direction from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Configure routing, switching, firewalls and SD-WAN
- Design, build and support enterprise LAN, WAN and data center networks
- Document network designs and standards
- Automate network changes with Python and Ansible
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot outages
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Firewall administration experience
- Clear documentation habits
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper or Arista platforms
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- CCNP or CCIE certification
- Experience with cloud networking
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $184,000 – $234,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
