The employer is a mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering firm specializing in high-performance buildings.
Our New Orleans office is growing, and we need a Structural Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New Orleans office.
What you’ll do
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- Experience with structural analysis software
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New Orleans, LA is $82,000 – $105,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
