We are hiring a Principal Petroleum Engineer to join our petroleum engineering team in Fairfield. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Fairfield location.
What you’ll do
- Plan and optimize well completions and production
- Prepare economic evaluations for development projects
- Perform reservoir and decline-curve analysis
- Coordinate with geoscience and operations teams
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with reservoir or production engineering
- Willingness to visit field locations
- Strong economic analysis skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Unconventional reservoir experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Fairfield, CA is $210,000 – $267,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
