As a Senior Security Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Pompano Beach, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Pompano Beach office.
What you’ll do
- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
- Harden cloud identity and access management
- Run threat models and security reviews for new features and infrastructure
- Manage vulnerability scanning and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Build detections and respond to security incidents
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with a SIEM or log analysis platform
- Scripting ability in Python or a similar language
- Working knowledge of common attack techniques and defenses
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or GIAC
- Experience with container security
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Pompano Beach, FL is $138,000 – $176,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
