We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our software engineering team in Virginia Beach. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Virginia Beach office.
What you’ll do
- Build tooling that removes toil from operations work
- Run capacity planning and load testing for critical services
- Define service level objectives with product teams and track error budgets
- Lead incident response and write blameless post-incident reviews
- Improve the observability stack: metrics, logs and traces
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Deep Linux and networking fundamentals
- Experience with modern observability tooling
- Experience operating large-scale production systems
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment
- Experience with chaos engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Virginia Beach, VA is $167,000 – $213,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
