As a Software Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Portland office.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Portland, OR is $119,000 – $151,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
