As an Associate Data Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the data engineering team works. This position is based in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our San Jose location.
What you’ll do
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse
Nice to have
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
- Experience with Spark or Flink
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Jose, CA is $128,000 – $162,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
