Our Los Angeles office is growing, and we need a Materials Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative materials engineering group and report to the materials engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Los Angeles office.
What you’ll do
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Run mechanical, thermal and microstructural testing
- Select and qualify materials for new product designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Laboratory experience
- Knowledge of metals, polymers or composites
- Experience with materials characterization methods
Nice to have
- Experience with additive manufacturing
- Graduate degree in materials science
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $104,000 – $133,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
