Senior Data Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our data engineering team in Conroe. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Conroe office.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
- Experience with Spark or Flink
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Conroe, TX is $90 – $110 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
