The employer is looking for a Front-End Engineer in San Francisco, CA. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Francisco office.
What you’ll do
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript
- Translate designs into reusable components and maintain the shared component library
- Champion accessibility and usability across the product
- Measure and improve page performance and Core Web Vitals
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for user-facing features
- Work with back-end engineers to define clean API contracts
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience writing automated tests for front-end code
- Production experience with React or a comparable framework
- Working knowledge of HTML semantics, CSS layout and browser developer tools
Nice to have
- Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering
- Experience with WCAG 2.1 AA audits
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $159,000 – $203,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
