Petroleum Engineer Intern

We are hiring a Petroleum Engineer Intern to join our petroleum engineering team in Salt Lake City. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Salt Lake City office.
What you’ll do
- Monitor field performance and recommend workovers
- Coordinate with geoscience and operations teams
- Plan and optimize well completions and production
- Perform reservoir and decline-curve analysis
- Prepare economic evaluations for development projects
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
- Strong economic analysis skills
- Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel or ARIES
- Experience with reservoir or production engineering
Nice to have
- Unconventional reservoir experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Salt Lake City, UT is $33 – $38 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
