Senior Transportation Engineer

The employer is a construction manager and general contractor with a long record of complex builds.
As a Senior Transportation Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Frisco, TX. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Frisco office.
What you’ll do
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Present findings at public meetings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong written communication
- Experience with traffic analysis software
- Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience on state DOT projects
- PE or PTOE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Frisco, TX is $71 – $87 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
