We are hiring an Associate Backend Engineer to join our software engineering team in Santa Clarita. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Santa Clarita office.
What you’ll do
- Build asynchronous processing with message queues and streaming systems
- Design and operate APIs and data pipelines that power customer-facing products
- Write design documents and weigh trade-offs with the wider engineering group
- Model data and tune queries for PostgreSQL and other data stores
- Improve test coverage and release safety for critical services
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Clear written communication for design reviews
- Strong understanding of relational data modeling
- Experience operating services in a cloud environment
Nice to have
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Background in high-throughput or low-latency systems
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Santa Clarita, CA is $106,000 – $135,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
