The employer is looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer in Palmdale, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Palmdale office.
What you’ll do
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Palmdale, CA is $81,000 – $103,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
